I go to school at ASU in Tempe, Arizona. My major is Intermedia with a focus on 3-D Animation, and my minor is in Japanese. I love doing digital art, ceramics, drawing and painting, and I'm getting used to doing digital 3-D work as well (though it is still really tough for me!) I hope to graduate in the spring of next year, and after that spend a year in Japan teaching English and practicing Japanese! I love playing video games, watching cartoons, eating tacos and spending time with my boyfriend, Sam. ^-^

I cant believe how quickly this month is passing. I just barely escaped from school, and now Christmas is next week! I still have tons of shopping left to do, but I'm sure everyone feels crazy right now...

However, I have another reason to feel crazy besides the upcoming holidays. Next Saturday I'm leaving on a trip to Tokyo! I've been studying the language for what feels like forever, so I decided to spend New Years in Japan, practice speaking, and see my pen pals! I'm not packed at all yet though, and I'm not even sure of what to bring! I've got some warm clothes and shoes, an umbrella (which I've never had to use living in the desert, lol) and a hat, but I'm going to have to bring my game boy or something on the plane so that I can keep sane enough to actually make it there on that long flight. Anyone got any good books or GB games to suggest?

My pen pals are really nice; I know I'll have a blast there. I'll try to take tons of pictures and do lots of sketching, and I'll post some here. I'll be back on the 11th of January though, but I might be able to post some before that through the computers at the hostel. I'm staying in Asakusa, so I'm going to try and see some temples, Shibuya, Akihabara, Ueno (maybe), Tokyo Tower, and the famous statue of Hachiko. Other than that, I'm not sure what I'll do yet. Any suggestions?

Well, I hope you guys have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and Great New Year!! ^0^ I'll be back soon!

Thats awesome, I'm pretty jealous. So, weren't you interning or something before? Or no? (Maybe I'm confused.) But anyways, are you in the process of searching for a forensic-y job then?
I feel liberated and lost, and more of the latter. It's weird when you think 'no more school?' but yeah, i feel super smart. haha.

Oh, thats good. I thought we had already studied the kanji for April, but I don't remember doing both the kanji for April and 3. I didn't know Nagai sensei was pregnant though! I wonder who will teach the conversation class next semester? Im pretty sure she was scheduled to teach it...

Oh, no, I didn't graduate. I still have a year to go because I decided to double major. What about you though? I thought you were supposed to graduate?
You didn't miss much. We did the kanji for "April" 3 weeks in a row and then critiqued the other ones along with the hiragana ones. ...and that was it. I'm assuming you got an A anyway?? Nagai-sensei was out for the rest of the semester, pregnancy bed-rest. You graduated, yeah? How was that????? Did you get to see Obama speak?

I know, man, I cant believe this... Okay, the first time I got terribly sick, I could barely leave my room. The second time I just plum forgot! I felt like such an idiot when the next day rolled around, and I was thinking to myself, "Gee, its been a while since I've been to Caligraphy. I guess I'll be back tomorrow..." But, of course, it was Thursday. Did we do anything special? I felt like such a dolt! Oh well, what can you do, eh? I hope it won't effect my grade too seriously. >_<
Where did you go?! We missed you in calligraphy!!
